Then there was the one about...

My company specializes in helping accountants and CPAs get higher fees. However there are some right and some wrong ways to do it. I was asked by a mutual acquaintance the other day if I could recommend an accountant. I know who they are using and he is quite competent, so I inquired as to why the would want to leave.

It would seen that they went to this CPAs office to have a meeting. After about a half an hour, they were invited by their accountant to go to lunch. They proceeded to have a 2 hour lunch that had about another half hour of business talk sprinkled through it.

This particular person told jokes, talked about local politics, the weather and to some great degree wasted their clients time. He did however make up for this by allowing the client to pay the tab...remember he invited them to lunch.

A few weeks later, they received a bill for $700. To me this is better than fiction. My imagination does not allow me the ability to make this stuff up, this is a true story.

If you read this and wondered what my problem is...don't call us we can't help you. If you read this and wonder what the accountants problem is, call us and we can help you get higher fee's in a much better manner than this.

I am sending these fine gentlemen to an accountant who will take them to lunch, pay the tab and not bill them for the meeting. Don't get me wrong, they will pay top dollar for his services, but they will be glad they did.

As for the $700 bill...this will be know as a write down or write off. No names have been used in this story to protect the idiots. For those of you who know me, even if you guess who this is, I won't tell you. We all do dumb things from time to time, however this person seems to trying to corner the market on stupid with this particular move.
